The "Set and Recall' Ep is a collection inspired by childhood fears and experiences which form a deeply introspective and personal body of work by Necrotype.

'A lit Room Behind Red Curtains' is inspired by a house close to where he used to live. When the lights were on at night it would form an eerie glow through the curtains and gave an unsettling feeling to a young Necrotype. This would lead to nightmares and it is this that is transmitted through the track and across the EP with its 7/4 time signature.

'Vespidae' is based around a fear of wasps and this can be heard throughout the track by the rise and fall of the wasps buzz. These are joined by disjointed Apaches and accompany uneasy atmospherics.

'Dysmetropsia' is also known as Alice in Wonderland Syndrome or Todds Syndrome and is a disorientating neurophsycological condition that affects perception. It can cause hallucinations. These are drawn out in the track with infrequent stabs, held chords and off kilter rhythms.

'Blaecce Succa' aims to invoke a mythical beast, a black dog, that stalks the moors. The tension is present from the first bar as the beat stalks the listener and dark clouds descend all around to envelope and bring a sense of foreboding. Think listening to Suburban Knights 'Art of Stalking' whilst trying to evade the 'Metalhead' from Black Mirror.
